Peace of Mind was originally released on Bobby & Steve's debut artist album, "Let's Stand Together," on Groove Odyssey Records in February 2020. It reached number 1 on the Traxsource album chart.
Peace of Mind, featuring UK vocalist Lifford, is a cover version of The Rance Allen 1977 Gospel classic.
We wanted to cover this classic and pay homage to our dear friend Paul Anderson. He introduced us to it because he used to play this track in his soul/boogie sets.
We approached the original mix with live drums, bass, and rhythm guitars the lot, as it just had to have that vibe.
Ernie Mckone and Mike Patto took care of the groove, but there was only one man who could deliver that vocal tone, and that man is one of the UK's finest: Lifford.
With all that's going on in this crazy but beautiful world right now, we felt this iconic song needed to be heard across all dance floors and platforms with some new mixes.

We wanted to take this track to the clubs, so we attacked our mix by keeping some of the original elements, and blending them on a Philly vibe with some new strings and instrumentation from the legend Nigel Lowis.
New York's Doug Gomez provides a heavy Afro /Soulful House mix; Cafe 432 gives you a deeper UK vibe, while the Sonic Soul Orchestra takes you on a straight prime-time dance floor House vibe with a well-known iconic 90 '90s baseline.
